The webinar is part of the activities of the Interprofessional Education faculty development course offered at the PAHO / WHO Virtual Public Health Campus.
Background
The world of work in the health care increasingly needs to strengthen practices and interprofessional relationships.
However, in the 21st century, the challenges of moving from fragmentation to integration still persist.
The webinar is an invitation to reflect on how different professional knowledge is combined to offer interprofessional health care and produce synergy for the patient.
Presenter
Dr. Ricardo A. Ayla is a member of the research team at the University of Ghent (Belgium), professor of health sociology at the International Bachelor of Social Sciences at the University of Brussels. Author of a prolific bibliography in the field of professions, he combines his own professional experience with his area of academic specialization. After a career in health management in Chile, he studied sociology at the Université de Strasbourg (France) and features articles published in journals such as Journal of Interprofessional Care, Social Theory & Health, Medical Humanities, Nursing Inquiry and Archives of Medical Research.
